A new scam uses the name and image of Carlos Slim, the richest person in Mexico, to convince people to sign up for an automated cryptocurrency trading platform, which has allegedly generated the businessman the most money of his life. Know the details.
These are notes circulating on the web with false information that claims to be from national media in which the businessman talks about a platform called Bitcoin Evolution with which he earns «thousands of pesos a day» and recommends people to sign up for it.

For any user familiar with the subject it is obvious that these ads are a scam, although not all users can identify such a fraud, which the operators of this new scam know and try to exploit.
In the statements falsely attributed to Slim, the criminals claim that Bitcoin Era is a cryptocurrency exchange platform powered by artificial intelligence capable of predicting the best times to buy or sell virtual assets, giving investors a level of profit that is hard to believe. The scam operators even mention that this platform has the backing of entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates, among other personalities.
Once the user has registered, he/she will be sent to a payment site where he/she will be asked to make an initial deposit of 5 thousand pesos. In this step, the scammers mention that the victim will receive a phone call from a personal advisor assigned by the platform.
